Reliance Bank is proud to support the Bathurst Community Transport and is a major sponsor of the radiation bus service.

Bathurst Community Transport has been in operation since October 2012 and provides a door to door service to Individuals and Group Transport for the frail older people and younger people with disabilities who are unable to use public transport.

It also provides daily service to Orange Health Service for people needing radiotherapy treatment.

Radiotherapy treatment can last up to eight weeks for some patients, and the bus is vital in their treatment plan, patients are fatigued towards the end of such a long treatment path.

Bathurst Community Transport manager Leonie Schumacher said they are extremely grateful for the funding boost that will help so many in their time of need.

Reliance Bank chief executive officer Mark Genovese said the bus was a “worthy recipient” for ongoing funding.“We’re looking at a long-term partnership ... this would be one of our biggest partnerships throughout the country, “We’re a co-operative and the more people support us, the more we can give back.”
