Being There For You When You Need Us Most

As we move towards the light at the end of this COVID-19 tunnel, all Australians can be proud of the way in which we have coped with the situation. Whether it is our front-line health workers, those who have unfortunately lost jobs or have had their income affected, or everyone who is self-isolating and following social distancing requirements, thank you. Together we have all helped to make the best of this most challenging time for the country.

At Reliance Bank, not only do we want to ensure our Members are looked after financially, we want to make sure we continue providing the highest-quality service we are known for, especially during difficult times. 

Over the past few weeks, our staff have called thousands of our Members to ensure their banking needs are taken care of and generally to see how they are coping with the social isolation during the COVID-19 lockdown. We discovered that a simple ‘Hello, how are you doing…?’ can completely brighten a person’s day and make a difference to those not fortunate enough to have a strong family or social network or who may not be as digitally connected as others.  

We have helped Members by arranging fresh food deliveries, sourcing hand sanitiser from local distillery for Members and simply having a chat over the phone. We believe the social, emotional and mental wellbeing of members is just as important as their financial wellbeing.

In additional, our staff have also assisted nearly 500 members, representing 10% of all loans, access our financial relief package to ease the burden on their day to day finances.  We will shortly be calling these members to see if their financial circumstances have improved or whether they would like us to extend the support for a further period.

Keeping Australians Safe 

One of the ways we can keep each other safe is with the Government's contact tracing app COVIDSafe. The COVIDSafe app is part of our Government’s efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 by finding and containing outbreaks quickly.  By downloading the app you will assist in the recovery of day to day life and the resumption of business.
